The Knowledge Is Power Learning Communities (KPLC) at Mt. San Antonio College unite three distinct programs: ASPIRE (African American), ARISE (Asian American and Pacific Islander), and El Centro (Latinx). The department's mission is to foster a cohesive ethnic studies community that bridges diverse ethnic groups.
To enhance their branding and reflect their shared interests and cross-cultural connections, I developed the following design that aligns with the department's tone and messaging.
CONCEPT
This logo merges a fingerprint with a hand. The fingerprint represents individuality, highlighting the uniqueness of each person's identity while acknowledging commonalities among us. The hand, with its rich historical significance, symbolizes humanity and unity. Together, these elements convey a message of both personal uniqueness and collective connection.
